Separation Anxiety Training
Helping dog's become happy home alone.

Separation anxiety is a common behavioural issue in dogs, causing distress when left alone. Typical signs can include excessive vocalisation, destructive behaviours, toilet accidents, pacing and other signs of stress. It can also cause a lot of stress to owners, feelings of guilt whenever you have to leave them, you may have even lost your freedom and become a prisoner in your own home.

Your dog is not being bad; separation anxiety is a form of phobia that causes your dog to panic when left alone. For this reason, training involves a 4 -week tailored programme using gradual desensitisation to work at your dogs pace, to reduce anxiety without overwhelming them. The aim is to help your dog to become happy and content when left alone and give you your freedom back.

The training is done completely remotely so that I can help you no matter where you are. It also means I get to observe your dog in their natural environment, without distracting them from their usual routine behaviour.  The programme starts with an initial assessment, after which I create a personalised plan. I work with you 5 days a week throughout the 4 -week programme to ensure you are fully guided and supported.
