Reactivity Training
Is your dog prone to barking, lunging, or growling at other dogs or people? Do your walks feel overwhelming, or do you find yourself avoiding them altogether? Is your dog overly excited to greet every dog or person they encounter?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, specialised reactivity training might be the solution you need!
Dog reactivity can be a challenging and isolating issue, often leaving owners feeling frustrated, upset, or even angry with their pets. This can strain the bond between you and your dog, sometimes leading to rehoming or surrendering them to kennels.
If you're looking to help your reactive dog and want to rebuild your relationship while enjoying calm and pleasant walks, our specialised reactivity training can assist you.
Since reactivity can differ in intensity and behaviour, and because treatment isn't a one-size-fits-all solution, we offer two package options.
1
Basic Package
£150
* Free initial phone consultation
* 3 one to one in person sessions
* Written training plan after each session
* Free Brain games enrichment eBook
* 3 months text/email support, once you finish your training
This option is most suitable for dogs with mild - moderate reactivity, and for those owners who feel confident to continue their training journey with distance support.
If your dog also has behavioural issues within the home environment, option 2 is recommended.
2
Advanced Package
£250
* Free initial phone consultation
* 6 one to one in person sessions
* Written training plan after each session
* Free Brain games enrichment eBook
* 6 months text/email support, once you finish your training
This option is most suitable for dogs with moderate to severe reactivity, and for those owners who feel they need more support throughout their training journey.
If your dog also has behavioural issues within the home environment, the 1st session will take place in the home environment.
Reactive dogs are often misunderstood and labelled as aggressive, which is rarely the case. Often these dogs are fearful or frustrated, resulting in being extremely stressed and anxious on a daily basis.
It is therefore my passion to help as many reactive dogs as I can.
By enrolling in specialist reactivity training, you will be able to improve your dog’s behaviour, increase their confidence and yours, repair your relationship, and work with your dog in a safe environment. Not to mention be fully supported and guided through your journey.
*The progress your dog makes is dependent on your dog's learning capacity and abilities, environment, routine and how much time is spent implementing any training guidance provided.
* Reactivity requires a minimum of 3 sessions to cover all of the course content.
*In some cases an additional 1-2 sessions may be required. This is dependent on each individual dog.
* Additional sessions are booked at the end of your Reactivity Specialist course and are paid individually, so you are able to book as many or little as needed with no commitment.
Where are the sessions held?
If you select the basic's package, the training sessions will be held at our training venue, which is a half acre fenced grass paddock, just outside St. Dennis village (PL26). We hold the training outdoors to provide your dog with a real- life learning experience. By incorporating real life distractions, we enhance your dogs learning process.
If you select the advanced package, the first 3 sessions will be held at our training venue and the next 3 will take place in public spaces (dependant on your dog's progress). This is to help you build confidence and work with your dog in realistic environments.
